Remarks Occurs in inshore waters of the continental shelf (Ref. 75154). Planktivore (Ref. 46174). Pelagic-oceanic. Forms a semi-obligate commensal association with large sharks, rays, and other large fishes. Juveniles found in association with seaweeds and jellyfish. Larvae are found in epipelagic oceanic waters (Ref. 9773).
