Σχόλια Typical of a predator species in its ability to change its distribution and habitat in relation to available food supply (Ref. 4916). Usually lives a little away from the shore, but does enter shallow waters (Ref. 52557). Juveniles mainly feed on trophic eggs released by the female (Ref. 36945), whilst the male helps the young in searching for invertebrates in and around the nest (Ref. 36945). Predator feeding on many other kinds of fish (Ref. 52161).
