| Remarks | On the morning of the new moon of April 1977, Johannes observed belai spawning on the outer reef flat and above the edge of the outer reef drop-off at the southern tip of Peleliu. A group of five to fifteen individuals would slowly spiral upward, release gametes and return to the bottom. The fish would make false starts (Ref. 2928). Also Ref. 10494, 100789. |
