Remarks 'Limace', i.e., slug, from Latin slang 'limacia' from 'limax, -acis', i.e., snail (p. 423 in Ref. 9404; 'barrée' from 'barre', i.e., a piece of long and rigid wood or metal, from Latin slang 'barra', close to Gallic 'barro', i.e., extremities, summit (p. 75 in Ref. 9404).
