Purse seine sampling. Two surveys, approximately two months apart, were conducted within the dry (Dec to Mar) and wet (Jun to Sep) seasons from December 2015 to March 2018. An additional survey was also done during the transitional seasons (Apr to May; Oct to Nov). At each site, sampling was done at the water column (about 2 meters deep) using a small purse seine net. For each survey, three 3-minute hauls were carried out at a speed of 0.5 knots. All collected samples were sorted, counted, measured, and identified in the laboratory. |
