Beach seine sampling. Two surveys, approximately two months apart, were conducted within the dry (Dec to Mar) and wet (Jun to Sep) seasons from December 2015 to March 2018. An additional survey was also done during the transitional seasons (Apr to May; Oct to Nov). At each site, ten hauls were done using a beach seine that was deployed in an upright position in shallow water (< 1 meter). The net was set to a maximum of 50 meters away from the shore, and was pulled perpendiculary towards the shoreline manually. All collected samples were sorted, counted, measured, and identified in the laboratory. |
