Comments: Recorded from Fossa Calda, Tuscany, Lake Lesina, Menona and Rialto Canals, Veneto. Euryoecious, invasive. Interferes with the native species. Its progressive adaptation to low temperatures cannot be excluded (Ref. 94493). Reported as being cultured (Ref. 93671). Information obtained during the 1999-2001 fishery monitoring programme for the project 'Comparative studies on the current fishery on the native Penaeus kerathurus shrimp populations of North Mediterranean" (EC Project No 037/98 DG XIV) Reference: Scorde.     Ref:  Andaloro, F., M.
