| Comments: | Introduction of big head carp (Aristichthys nobilis) caused significant changes in diversifying number of cultured fish species as well as fish community structure in Vietnam. After introduction the carp being a zooplankton feeder, fast growing, highly fecund and with easy response to induced breeding the bighead carp has rapidly become an important cultured fish species in Vietnam.
