Comments: | Reintroduced in 1988 from Japan (Ref. 9496). Introduction in a fish farm on the Godawari river was unsuccessful. Repeated attempts have been made to introduce this species but without apparent success. This is rather surprising in view of the existing populations in India. Ref: FAO, 1997 |
