Comments: Introduced to Mandatory Palestine by British Authorities and was stocked in two coastal plain rivers, the Yarqon (then, the Ouja) and the Kziv (then, Wadi el Kurn). Has established in the Dan River (Ref. 37616) and common in the upper reaches of Jordan River. One small self-sustaining population maintained in ponds (Ref. 1739).
