Remarks: | Infestation occurs most commonly in the gills. This parasite was found in common carp and silver carp imported from Indonesia and Taiwan respectively, for culture purposes in the country. Also in goldfish that is imported from Hongkong for the ornamental fish trade. This parasite is probably now established in natural waters (Lumanlan et al. 1992). |
