Type localiyt of Eviota richardi. Known only from Fiji, mainly around Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, and also at Great Astrolabe Reef. The largest collection (24 individuals) was taken at Nanuya Island in the Yasawa Group, at 11 m, from a habitat that consists of tunicates, sponges, very small amount of living coral, and coralline algae (Ref. 107299).
