Found in the Mekong, Chao Phraya, Maeklong, Peninsular and Southeast Thailand river systems (Ref. 26336). Recorded from Chienmai (Chiang Mai), Pitsanulok, Nontaburi , Bangkok, Tachin (Samut Sakhon), MepPoon and Tale Sap (Ref. 1632); also from Phrae, Uthai Thani, Songkhla, Khon Kaen, Kanchanaburi, Ubon Ratchathani, Chai Nat, Surat Thani, Nakhon Sawan, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chanthaburi, Prachin Buri and Narathiwat (Ref. 37773). Museum: Mekong mainstream, CAS 96573 (between Pak Ing and Jom Paeng, about 4-5 km downstream); CAS 96966 (Huay Nam Ngam near That Phanom) (Ref. 5515). Also Ref. 9648, 27732, 36654, 57235.
