Known from the Ussuri River, Lake Khanka, and in the middle and lower reaches of the Amur (Ref. 26334). This has been translocated to some areas within the country unintentionally where it has locally established self-sustaining populations (Ref. 45022). Introduced elsewhere in Russia (1739). Peak of spawning in Lake Khanka is in late May. Eggs are deposited near the shores. Also Ref. 1441, 13397. nEurRus
