P. Bianco and S. Zerunian collection: Qom river, inner drainage of northern Iran (7.2-10.2 cm SL, 13 specimens, I.S.B.B. uncatalogued) (Ref. 47064). Found in Namak Lake, Kavir, Kerman-Na'in, Esfahan, Kor and Tigris River basins (Ref. 39702).

Reported in Armand River, Chaharmahal va Bakhtyari Province. Parasites found on this species were Ichthyophthrius multifilis, Myxobolus musayevi, Dactylogyrus lenkorani, Gyrodactylus sp1, Gyrodactylus sp2,

Allocreadium isoporum, Lamproglena compacta, and Rhabdochona denudata (Ref. 125597). Also in Ref. 47064.

Status of threat: Least Concern.

This species has many populations across its distribution range and no known major threat appears to affect them; thus classified as Least Concern.
