Known from the Altamaha River drianage based on 1 record and Okefenokee Swamp in southeast Georgia to south Florida. An isolated population is found in Fenholloway River system in west Florida (Ref. 86798). Easily maintained and breeds freely in captivity (pers.comm. Paul V. Loiselle, 28/10/2014). |
