Known from the Rio Turbio in Guanajuato. Regulations: catch season: 1 Sept.-30 Apr.; closed season: 1 May - 31 Aug.; fishing with "Cuevo" method is not allowed in Chapala Lake; marketed fresh (whole, fillet), frozen, or salted (Ref. 26550). Abundance declining in Lerma River basin (Ref. 27639).
