Known from Bangkok (Ref. 37773). Stocked into the Sirikit (1973) and Ubolratana (1970) reservoirs (Ref. 12240). Established in aquaculture through assisted/artificial reproduction but not in the wild (Ref. 1739). One of the fish used for the extension of fish culture by the Fisheries Department. The flesh has good flavour and is highly priced (Ref. 6459). Probably established (Ref. 58915). Also Ref. 1632.
