Comments

Occurs in Bagmati, Gandaki, Koshi, Mahakali, Mechi, Karnali rivers (Ref. 6351) and Pokhara lakes (Ref. 40948). Also found in Seti river (Ref. 85009). Inhabits mountain rivers and creeks, preferring deep riffles and runs over gravel, cobble substrata (Ref. 57735). Used as ornamental fish by Buddhists (Ref. 12045). Also Ref. 4833, 40948, 41236.
