Occurs in Ucayali and Marañon Rivers and adjoining lagoons. Found in Peruvian Amazon, and Loreto (Rio Ambyiacu, Rio Nanay, Rio Samiria and Rio Samiria drainage, Rio Tahuaya basin, Rio Yavari basin, Rio Napo system, and small stream near Genero Herrera). Exported as an aqurarium fish (Ref. 9235). |
