Comments

Usually seen in groups of about 20-40 individuals and often in close proximity to Siphamia corallicola among beds of the pocilloporid coral Seriatopora hystrix. Museum: Padoz Reef, off entrance to Nagada Harbour, near Madang, 20-22 m, WAM P.30375-006 (holotype, 2.2 cm SL). Known from Kimbe bay (Ref. 28888). Also known from Ninigo Islands, Madang and D'Entrecasteaux Islands (Ref. 90102).
