Collected from Loyalty I. Ridge and Lord Howe Rise, the first record from New Caledonian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). It is hypothesized that adult sandfish migrate along oceanic ridges to spawn in southern New Caledonian waters (Ref. 84892).
