Recorded from Chilka Lake (Ref. 29108), Maharashtra (Ref. 43634), east Punjab and Uttar Pradesh (Ref. 45255). Present in Buxa, Adma and Jayanti rivers (Ref. 89719). Considered vulnerable (Ref. 41236). Also Ref. 43640, 97593. Status of threat: Data deficient in Western Ghats (Ref. 50614).
