Comments: Type locality of the holotype of Lebias stiassnyae: 'Ethiopia, Afar Region, Lake Afdera, 80m below sea level, southwestern part of lake where on of the hot springs joins the lake' (Ref. 39284). Endemic in Lake Afdera (Ref. 39284, 58460, 84174). Also Ref. 125223, 126233.
