Found in eastern and western Cuba; widely distributed in islands but not on Isla de la Juventud (Ref. 27158). Occurs in ponds, lakes and streams throughout Cuba, except easternmost area at 200-300 m elevation (Ref. 13498). Also Ref. 4537.
