Comments: Spawns at temperatures above 19°C, mostly 22-24°C. In central Europe, spawning usually occurs in June-July. Several males pursue a female, which releases eggs in several portions above vegetation. Under suitable warm weather, females may spawn 1-9 times each year, every 11-15 days (Ref. 59043).
