Additional Characters | Yolk is faint orange in color; egg envelope was tough and thick. The embryos reached 2/3 of the yolk circumference, but were small relative to the yolk volume. Melanophores were present on the optic vesicles, the nape and the middle dorsal part of the body. The vitteline circulatory system was well developed on the yolksac and appeared as a network of vessels. Oil droplets of various size were seen in the yolk (Ref. 34819). |
