Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 66 - 177 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: Western Australia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-14; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-7; Vertebrae: 26-26. This species is distinguished from its congeners by having 24 circumpeduncular scales and a pectoral-fin length of 28.4-28.9% SL (Ref. 127477).
Biology:  Collected by benthic sled and beam trawls (Ref. 127477).
