Family:  Pseudomugilidae (Blue eyes)
Max. size:  3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6.5 - 7.5; dH range: 15
Distribution:  Oceania: known only from small creeks near Kiunga in the upper Fly River system, Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-5; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-11
Biology:  Inhabits rainforest streams with abundant aquatic vegetation (Ref. 2847). An omnivorous egg layer and peaceful community fish which prefers the following aquarium conditions: pH=7.5, H=10, 28°C water temperature (Ref. 6398).
