Biology: |
The type locality, Moco-Moco Creek, is a small stream with usually clear water but turns muddy for several hours after heavy rainfalls. One specimen was collected from a forest stream with relatively clear water weakly stained in tannins over a gravel and cobble bottom covered with leaf and twig litter. Reported to occur in rapids and streams and regarded as a predator, presumably preys on invertebrates (Ref. 81220). |
