Max. size:  9.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: endemic to southern Australia,
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in shallow coastal areas with algae or Zostera sp. Some specimens have been recorded from tide pools. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205). Males may brood at 6.9 cm SL.
