Max. size:  8.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 7 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs over a sandy bottom on both protected and exposed shores (Ref. 4983). The stomach and intestinal contents of the specimens which were examined consisted of sand grains, bottom detritus (including fragments of plant epidermis) and some larvae of dipterous insects (Ref. 558).
