Max. size:  12.2 cm SL (female)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: known with certainty only from the South China Sea. There are unconfirmed reports and tentatively identified specimens from the Indian Ocean and western Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Barbel with a single thin, simple branch arising from stem; barbel stem and proximal portion of terminal bulb solidly pigmented; terminal bulb bearing a single, branched medial terminal filament dorsally at the tip (Ref. 45801).
