Max. size:  12 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 190 - 320 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: large individuals were found off Farquhar Island and Saya de Malha Bank; juveniles were caught in open waters of the southern Arabian Sea and off the western coast of Hindostan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 32-35; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 29-33
