Main Ref. Matamoros, W.A. and J.F. Schaefer, 2010
Remarks Specimens were collected from two sites at 1340 m elevation in two small tributaries of the Río Calam in the Ulúa drainage. The creeks were 3–5 m wide, 20–40 cm deep and canopy cover was c. 60%. The substratum was dominated by large cobble, and creek margins featured emergent macrophytes in which P. portillorum was collected. Other fishes included Alfaro huberi (Fowler), Oreochromis niloticus (L.) and Rhamdia laticauda (Kner) (Ref. 84033).
