| Remarks | Inhabits the outer reef slope, deep channels and passes. Spawning aggregations form on the outer reef slope from the tenth to the fifteenth (full moon) day of the lunar month. Spawning mainly occurs from April through July but fishers note that it may occur throughout the year. Kedesau is caught mainly with lines during the spawning period (Ref. 2928).
